Peter Wu+ is a Los Angeles-based artist whose practice explores the role of technology in shaping perceptions of reality, identity, and history. Using tools such as modeling and rendering software, 3D printing, projection mapping, and artificial intelligence, Wu+ creates digitally based artworks and immersive environments that reflect the complexities of our technologically driven society. In 2020, he founded EPOCH, a virtual exhibition space for contemporary digital art that emphasizes community building and inclusivity. His work has been recognized with awards such as the 2023 EYEBEAM Democracy Machine Fellowship and the 2019 COLA Individual Artist Fellowship, as well as a commission for the Public Art Division of the Los Angeles World Airports Arts Exhibition Program, which was completed in 2022 and was on view until May 2024. In 2024, EPOCH’s virtual exhibitions were featured in physical exhibitions such as Digital Capture: Southern California and the Pixel-Based Image World, PST ART: Art & Science Collide at UCR ARTS in Riverside, CA, LEDGIBLE at MOMA PS1 in New York, and the Biennale de l’Image en Mouvement 2024: A Cosmic Movie Camera at Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève, Switzerland. Wu+ received his MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and his BFA from the University of Windsor.
